SGO Direct

You are probably already listed

We built the directory from public IRS records, so 84 organizations are on this site whether or not they have ever heard of us. Claiming yours means you decide what it says and you can take contributions here.

What claiming gets you

Contributions land in your own Stripe account
You are the merchant of record. The money never sits with us on the way to you, and your name is what shows on the donor's statement. Refunds and chargebacks are yours to carry, which is the other side of that.
Receipts get produced for you
Every contribution generates a dated acknowledgment carrying the notices 2027 requires, versioned so a correction reissues rather than overwrites. Donors file these.
A reconciliation view that ties to your bank
Gross, refunds, corrections and fees for the year, exportable as CSV. Built for the bookkeeper who has to make it match a deposit.
Control of your own listing
Right now your entry says whatever the IRS Business Master File says. Claiming it lets you fix that.

How it goes

  1. 01Find your organization and file a claimName, role, work email. It takes a minute and creates no account.
  2. 02A person reads itBy hand, not by an automatic email-domain test. Your account would control where contributions land and what appears on documents donors file with the IRS, so we would rather be slow than give it to the wrong person.
  3. 03You set a password and connect StripeStripe collects your business details, an ID for whoever signs, and your bank account. That goes to Stripe. None of it is stored here.
  4. 04We turn the button onNot before Stripe says you can take charges, and not before your state has published a list with you on it. No state has published one yet, so nobody is live for 2027 and we are not going to pretend otherwise.

Where this actually stands

5 organizations are set up to take contributions here. §25F contributions begin January 1, 2027, states owe the IRS their lists of organizations before then, and none has filed one. So claiming your listing now is early rather than late, and the point of doing it early is that Stripe onboarding and a state listing both take longer than anyone plans for.
