The federal program is not open yet.

The credit lives in section 25F of the tax code and starts on January 1, 2027. A gift made before that date is an ordinary donation. It earns no federal credit, and no site can change that.

Treasury has not published its final rules either. The receipt wording, the donor identifier, how the cap applies on a joint return: all still open. Each one is wired to be filled in the day it publishes, so the site is ready when the window is.

You can look around in the meantime. The directory is open, every organization shows where it stands with the IRS, and an account costs nothing.
